Patrick J. Beam designed and executed this project as a Principal of Bassett Associates.

Patrick J. Beam was the lead designer for the majority of the five completed phases of this 18 mile cross country multi-use bike / trail system. The route connects 3 rural, 7 urban parks, and the City of Lima urban core to numerous residential areas. The bike system generally follows the Ottawa River and includes numerous grade separations, passing under several city streets, Interstate 75, unique bridges over railroads, rural roads, and the Ottawa River. Beam assisted with grant applications and route selection, coordinated survey and engineering activities, and provided complete construction documentation.

Pat is meticulous when it comes to designing a project and seeing the project through. The projects that Pat has been involved in the Park District have been timely, the design is well thought through, and changes to the project scope are limited once underway. I believe the way he approaches his work speaks for itself.
