St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital - Joanie Abdu Serenity Garden

Patrick J. Beam prepared the concept development plan, detailed construction documentation, and provided construction administration for this project, Dr. Abdu’s vision to honor the memory of his wife and to provide encouragement and serenity for women and their loved ones impacted by breast cancer. The garden contains native stone pavements, sandstone seatwalls, granite dedication walls, and natural stone water features. Landscaping includes dogwoods, rhododendron, azaleas, viburnums, hydrangea, hostas, and tulips in a variety of colors.
