Columbus Zoo and Aquarium - Shores Play Park

Beam Designs provided programming assistance, concept development, detailed design, construction documentation, and design/build specialty construction coordination for this 1 ½ acres themed interpretive playscape, theater area, and outdoor dining space in the center of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Shores area. The play area contains multiple marine size mammals, turtles interactive research beat all connected by a progressive learning “game board”. The play area features spitting oysters, spraying beluga whales, and a spouting blue whale pod.
