Patrick J. Beam provided detailed design therapy/contemplation gardens and play areas created in the Arts and Crafts style of Landscape Development in keeping with the architectural design of the hospice building and interior furnishings. The garden designs focused on attracting birds and butterflies to the patients' window and creating vistas which enhance the enjoyment of the adjacent preserved forested wetlands.
