The University of Northwestern Ohio has experienced dramatic growth in its student population and degree offerings over the last decade, resulting in the need to expand its campus facilities. Beam has been engaged by the university since 2006, to provide ongoing campus master planning and detailed facility site design. The Master Plan incorporates the 2006 addition of over 60 Acres adjacent to the west end of the existing campus. More recently, the University had continued its expansion on the east side of the existing campus, acquiring several key properties facilitating the development of the UNOH Events Center and an Indoor Athletic Complex. Beam has prepared detailed development plans for the West Campus Expansion, incorporating an outdoor athletic complex, Bookstore/Cafe, Student Commons, and clustered Student Housing Quads. The entire complex incorporates stormwater infiltration strategies utilizing natural stormwater management, benefiting the adjacent stream and floodplain Hydrology. Student Housing, Student Services, academic and recreation facility expansions are ongoing throughout the entire UNOH campus.
